SATURN
Sixth Planet from the Sun
LENGTH OF ONE ROTATION (day): 10 Earth hours
ORBITAL PERIOD (year): 29.46 Earth years
COMPOSITION: Gas, mostly hydrogen and helium. It doesn't have a solid surface
MOONS: Over 60. Titan is the largest
FUN FACT: Until 2009, it was thought that Saturn was surrounded by seven thin, flat rings made of rocks and dust. An eighth ring was discovered in October 2009 that was so huge it would take 1 billion Earths to fill it. It has a density lower than water. This means that if there were a body of water large enough to hold it, Saturn would float.
