Born out of a religious campground in the late 1800's, Pitman today has grown to a population of 9,365. Its historic downtown district remains a thriving center of commerce in Gloucester County. Incorporated in 1836, GCF's main office sits at the center of this sprawling community. The population surged through the 1960's to 1989, making it the fastest growing community in South Jersey.
